For the third installment of the NBA Ballers franchise, our team was tasked with coming up with a Graphical User Interface that would stand out among the GUIs of other basketball games. The concept behind Ballers 3 was that the user would create a character who would then take on a series of challenges that would allow the user to become an elite NBA player. The game team envisioned this so be similar to the journeys that samurai would take to hone their skills and achieve their status. 

Moodboards/ We began by creating a series of moodboards to narrow down the visual language that would best communicate the game team's vision, focusing on motifs that were more elegant and refined than what other games were offering.

Motion Comps/ Once an art style was chosen, we created static comps (mockups) and “motion comps” (animatics) that displayed text treatments, color palettes and motion.

Mockups/ The game team chose a direction and the remaining screens were mocked up then implemented in Midway's proprietary screen-authoring tool.

Logo/ The game team was so impressed with the in-game UI that they asked our team to design the game logo that would be used on the box and marketing materials.
